Silly jouneyman question here - have always heard about fishing the shadow lines, but do you fish the lure from light to shadow, the other way around or along the shadow line?
I know that the bass face upcurrent, but have always wondered whether they stage in the light or dark side of the edge....

My fishing has been in open rocks/beach areas.
If anyone would not mind helping with what may be a 'duh' question for some, it would be much appreciated!!!
