double uni

double uni

1 @ 32 Pledge. Our beloved Striped Bass are in trouble AGAIN.

I fished through the lean years and don't want to live through another collapse of the stock.

2 fish @ 28" is ridiculous.

Back to back uni. One piece of advise is to make sure the knots is at the top of your spinning reel spool. If you loose chunks of line or have a fish take alot of line the braid will start to hit the knot as it goes out. To minimize this place that knot at the top of the spool.

Here's a big vote for the Slim Beauty!!!

Its really no harder to tie than a Uni or Albright if you are using heavy mono and start with a double overhand knot in the mono and tighten it until it "figure 8s":

I have seen a few ways to tie it - the link above is the best and easiest and shows the double-up braid that I think makes a big difference.

The only time I'm attaching braid to mono is the backing on a reel. I use mono that's about the same diam. and use a blood knot.
