Yea, how can the media be fooled into covering this guy? I mean he's on a global tour receiving warm meetings with various heads of state, he's going to speak in front of a million people in Berlin, etc... etc... etc...
The rest of the industrialized world is favoring Obama by nearly 2-1.
There's nothing to see here. It's all just media bias

That's not the impression I read, although, considering the media is trying to rig the election how could you trust them?

I'm not surprised - the Germans tend to like over-the-top orators. You know, a lot fist shaking, overuse of ballooned adjectives like, "unshakeable," and someone to lead them in hand gestures.

Yeah, but theres no media "coverage" there is media love. No so called jounalists are questioning why the hell a US candidate is campaigning in other countries? Thats news. I can give 2 $hits what the Europeans think about our next president.

Sounds like the media was following him around waiting for him to trip up, which he really didn't it would seem.
As for the global trip. Why the hell wouldn't he want to meet with world leaders and see Iraq to gain insight that could help him be a better candidate and potentially president?
The notion that this is showboating is absurd, if McCain could pull this trip off he'd do it in a second. The simple fact that Obama can, isn't good news for McCain at all.
While I don't align myself with Obama on all of this platform, I don't think the "lack of substance" arguments are going to work for the GOP. Most of our recent leadership hasn't shown much substance, and even the crack foreign policy team that Bush had under his wing post 9/11 proved to be a terrible joke.
People are looking for vision and change, and it would seem that Obama is giving them what their after. Can't blame the media for reporting that he's doing the right thing.

I am not a political person, nor am i a racist, but here is my 2 cents
If they say anything bad about him (Obama), they will be called racists. Extreme I know, but that's the PC society we live in these days. The media makes all sorts of fun about Mccain's physical features and whatnot, but God forbid The New Yorker make Obama look like a terrorist. because of his race, he is "untouchable" which makes everything a lot easier for him. If a dem says they dont like his policy's (because they're so far fetched) they may be called a racist, its a simple double standard that the democrats are playing along with.
I am in no way a McCain supporter, or an Obama guy, like I said I am not political, so maybe an unbiased view of the whole situation may help a bit.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

My post was a tongue in cheek.
I don't think the media is at all shy of attacking Obama because he's black, not in the least.
As for the New Yorker magazine cover, it wasn't a big story because it was crossing the line. Quite frankly I think the objection was a real fear that people were dumb enough to believe it considering the email threads so popular among right-wing blogs on the subject.
