Bruce - I take it you missed the bone. That will be awhile healing. I saw that happen in the shop and know exactly how you did it. I hope it heals quickly for you.

Pulling all nighter's fishing is one thing, but this kind of all nighter you can do without....friend of mine shot himself in the knee cap with a 16 penny spike...lock his knee/leg up bent in an L...he was working alone.crawled to his truck and got to the end of the road where he layed on his horn till someone showed up..in the hospital they had nothing that would get it out, so they hit up the maintance shop and got a pr. of visegrips and a large hammer...clamped on the grips and banged the nail upwards and out...he said if he knew they were going to do that he could have done that on the job site:  |

Bruce, I feel your pain, only because i have shot myself in the hand with 2 inch staples on two different occasions. glad there wasn't any serious damage.

That sucks, Bruce. I can't top that one, fortunately, but have some near misses and the scars from lots of other close encounters. I see so many in the trades missing digits...glad I don't drink....
And now I'm off to work. The compressor will be fired up within 15 minutes.....
