FormerUser Registered User Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: RI Posts: 5,705	You could try tweaking the settings.Control Panel>Power Options.There are several options there to help preserve battery life. I know this is off topic but...how much did you pay for the new comp?My GF's daughter is off to college this fall and we need to get her one.
