The Patriots went 6-10- a five win increase which at that time of no free agency was one of the biggest turn-arounds in NFL history and he received consideration for coach of the year honors. Which proves that change of coaches improves the team. Only problem is that in 1992- he must have hired a bunch of republican coaches.
