I am 50/50 maybe right now, but I feel the scales tipping in the correct direction in spite of the weather.

Weather might thin the crowds a bit on Saturday night, or it could concentrate everyone in the areas that are fishable given the conditions... either way should be an interesting weekend.

It just wouldn't be the Fall Surfcasting Club Challenge without some 9+ foot seas...

"We'll also have a cookout at the East Beach CRMC Lot Saturday afternoon."
Any more specific directions than this?
How do I get to CRMC whatever that is?
what time?

Bruce, take East Beach Road in Charlestown RI to the end. It is directly off Rt. 1 You may need to do a U turn at West Beach Rd if you are coming down Rt. 1 from The Narragansett Area. East Beach Road dumps you into the CRMC parking lot. Time?

just found out that i have to work SAT until 1500 in Cambridge
i would really like to join the group for SAT nite into SUN,
don't know if that's enuff to help REPRESENT, but if it's OK
with those that are IN, count me IN for the home stretch.
weather,,,,schmeather!!! isn't that what makes it
such a CHALLENGE, pun intended!!
this is a great CAUSE, an even better TIME, and it SHORE looks like
we gotts sum heavies steppin' up to the plate for "Club S-B"!!!
how late do you think the Cookout will be going, John??
the earliest i could prolly get to SoCo would be between 1730 and 1800.

Excellent! Cookout will be at 2:30 at the CRMC lot entrance for East Beach (we were here a few years ago during the MS Tourney)
Directions: Get to Route 1 in Charleston RI (However you get there) and take East Beach Rd to the parking lot at the end. The End is a few hundred yards down from where it makes the sharp left to the parking lot (not the lot on the right just at the sharp left).
Google Maps Link: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...=16&iwloc=addr
For the LatLon types 41deg 20'38N 71deg 41'24W

John,
I'm in.
Not sure how much fishing I can do, but will shoot down for the cookout.
|
It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
