No, and therein lies part of the rub. For the huddled masses yearning to breathe free and make a better life for themselves and their families, it is crucial and it is simply the right thing to do to make this change the legal way. I also know that many of them don't attempt to become legal because attorney's charge upwards of $4,500 to $5,000 to help them become legal and it takes a long time. Go down to Barnstable District court and see how many Brazilians are in court and being charged for driving without a license and other crimes. While dwl may not seem like a big deal to you, it puts cars on the road that usually aren't insured and they aren't paying any money to the state for registrations, licenses, excise tax, etc...And if they have an accident, there's no insurance company to pay for it. That hurts the economy.

I don't think we are to blame for making our country attractive, our country should be attractive and it should be more accessible to those that come through legally. Otherwise, I agree with you

Obama has mentioned creating something like the WPA from back in the 30's.. I would love to see those that are in this country legally or illegally be involved in something like this. Look at the conditions of our roads and bridges.. I think this is a great solution to get millions of people off of welfare.

Well, we've had enough people on welfare since the Newark, Watts and Detroit riots for the last 38 years
that we should have the best road and infrastructure system in the world IF we had had "work for welfare."

However, how could you think of such a thing, it's not PC.

Just think, a guy working for his welfare check might get a feeling of self worth and even want to better himself with a few new learned skills and a better job.

Ya want WPA ,just add "a work clause" to the current welfare system and you wouldn't need the cost of another government bureaucracy for the Obama cronies.
