Yup, Jim was there and got a couple of pre-clearance items

The first few things for sale are some prints from my old biz The Angler's Art which is closed and in cold storage for the foreseeable future.

That and Mrs Crafty wants her living and great rooms back so these are very nicely framed off-the-wall items in excellent (as new) condition.

These prints are the very last in stock - if you want it say I'll take it - Christmas is coming if Mrs Claus wants to get you an early gift. It's first come, first served, can't hold them.

First is the historic Graves Point Fishing Club print from Newport in 1881. The bass club was built by JP Morgan and stood just to the east of Brenton's Point until the '38 Hurricane took it out. The catch was 10 fish, total of 495 lbs taken in a single incoming tide from 6 to 11 AM, August 29th, 1881.

Double matted, image size is 10x10 in a 20x20" 3/4" dark walnut burl frame. This is a great presentation of this print, it was $275 plus tax, now $175 cash, MO or local check.

The double mat is the white areas only, the tan is the BG from the old website.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

A couple of Troublemakers -

Black over bronze and Steve's pogie, which was one of the best around when he was in business I thought - he told me he used Dentons for color correctness - very slight production blemish under lip of pogie

As new - never wet (yet)

Black/bronze $40
Pogie $60

Done deal

I see you're in MA - are you gonna p/up here in Newport?

If not, you can add a couple of bucks to the total and I'll mail 'em to ya 1st class - otherwise I think USPS Priority is like 5.95 now.

Let me know - thanks!
