I would love to try bone fishing. Who should I contact down there and do I need to bring any gear or do they provide everything?
Try this site http://www.turksandcaicos.tc/fishing/index.htm
I fished with this guy http://turksandcaicosbonefishing.com/, he was very knowledgeable and poled his ass off. We got lots of bones and had one cast at a pair of permit.
If you have a rod case I always bring my own rod/reel. Plan a day trip to Northwest Point, it's the least inhabited and most beautiful part of the island. You'll need to rent a Jeep for the day as the trail to this part of the island is pretty washed out. I haven't fished there, but there lwas some fishy ooking spots both at NW point and along the road there. If you go, bring plenty of water, there isn't anywhere to buy anything once you get off the paved road, don't forget you fins and snorkel. There's very good diving/snorkeling right off the beach many places on Provo. Have a bunch of conch fritters and conch salad for me!
