I honestly had so much fun! Standing in that river was insane! I thought I was goin to be swept away at a few points. And damn it was cold...had to get out just to walk around to feel my toes. When I go back up I definitely need neoprenes not breathables!
And it is a when I go back no if!!
I was lucky enough not to get skunked on my first trip...but I want a steelie to take me for a run down that river! My rainbow was a ton of fun to catch...I has actually made my first decent drift down (3rd cast) and she was there. Like TO and Casey said leave it to me to catch the pink fish in the river!!
My husband warned me it was dangerous to start going because you can't stop and it was...I got it...I'm totally hooked. Casey bought me the season fishing license for up there. So excited to go back! Can't wait.
By the way my favorite pic is the one where I am hooked up with a smile across my whole face. It is worth a thousand words and all my feelings of the trip summed up in one moment.
And just a side note for TO.....Altmar and the GILF can't handle me! And I did get my pink Fat Nancy's Sweatshirt on the way home and wore it to work proudly yesterday!!

for all of you reading this thread....
that water is extremely dangerous...any river like that
is because if you turn the wrong way the fast current can literally knock you over with ease...
it happened to me once... and luckily a good friend was with me and was able to extend his hand and pull me up
man was i frozen too... but the scary thing is...
when that current is washing over the top of you....
the weight of it is tremendous and even though its only knee deep it has incredible force you to the bottom strength.
so if you go alone remember this post and keep your stance side ways to the current.... if possible

Hey, if Raven gets a 2nd chance, I do too...
Did a two minute touch-up on the original image yesterday when I was just about out the door on my way to work - man, I haven't done print work in so long in PhotoShop I forgot stuff because I was in a rush...
Here's a version I did today when I had a little more time, color balanced, dodged and burned a little, etc etc - I think it's either a great wall-hanger for you guys or a nice photo for Casey's desk - or maybe both!

Awww, damn - don't tell me I have to ask for a tutorial again....they already think I'm an old geezer as it is...
Actually, I thought I had started one but can't find it - well, they don't call me Prince Henry the Navigator for nothin'...
And yeah, Photoshop is a pain in the butt initially but you'd go nuts with it, Raven - the learning curve is steep and it ain't cheap either - but I just had to do it for professional use. Start with Photoshop Elements (if that's still around), it's a good way to get started with it.
On the other hand, Mrs Crafty picked up on it pretty quick - but then she's a smart girl - hey, if ya want proof, she married me, didn't she?
