I hope your right Sean.

The values that made America great , independence, self-reliance, and reward for hardwork are no longer in play.

Everything the right had warned about Obama and the Socialists has come to pass, despite all of the previous attempts to dismiss his rhetoric, associations, and history. Pelousi, Reed and Obama have set a clear direction they want to take this country. You can no longer claim that he is an agent of change or a centrist.

WOW..I wonder if someone else had made a statement like that how fast you would have jumped their chit and told them if they don't like this country they can leave.....

it is very hard for me to watch the people that came to Obama's roadshow and like this country. All their questions are "what are you doing for me"? "How can you help me?" " I work at McDonalds, can you help me get better benefits?"
It truly sickens me and embarrasses me. This is NOT America.

I think Buckman is being fair in that this was our biggest fear pre-Obama, I just never thought he would act so quickly. I can't beleive that many of you defend this and are proud of it?

I guess yours and my idea of what America stands for are different. I see those same people as saying, "we're working our butt off and can't get ahead- working 2 jobs and not having health benefits". Their doing the right things and falling further and further behind. Their worried about putting food on their tables for their kids and are worried about losing their houses.

My idea of America was that we all would help and be judged on how we would treat the less fortunate amongst us. That people who worked hard and tried to do the right thing would be able to afford decent housing and be able to put food on their table. That someone would not be judged by his religion.

It truly sickens me and embarresses me what we have become - The racists things said about Obama when he was running for Pres. was an EMBARRASSMENT! The class warfare going on now is disheartening. This is NOT America (but I still love it and won't consider going to another country).

Your right Paul.
The people that worked hard would be rewarded and it would be their choice who they helped. Freedom of choice.

I never saw the racists things you saw. I think it helped him more then hurt him. IMO
We have the first black President ever. That alone says we've come along way.

really? You'd hire this guy? This guy got ACCEPTED into college? This guy is a COMMUNICATIONS MAJOR?????
You think the country OWES him something???? The country owes him nothing! I personally owe him NOTHING! He gets 15 cents from every large fry I order! But I will have to PAY for this guy's health care? Why, bceasue my parents busted my ass to study? I went to a freakin state school, never got a penny from anyone! The FACT why this guy cant get a better job is because he does not deserve one! dont give me this crap that people are working hard and cant get ahead. Its ALWAYS been that way, its nothing new. Yes, some good people are suffering, but rewarding people like this guy will RUIN america! Obama, should have set him straight and said son " if you want a better job, you need to speak better english, you need to study and LEARN. And, its NOT what I can do for you, what can you do for your country?"

RIJIMMY, these are statements I 100% agree with you on.

Another time when the country was in crisis, a smart man said:
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. "
