Predictions 09' Season......When Your Cow Comes?
When your "Cow" comes this season......what do you predict you will catch her on?? What method, bait, plug, jig, rigged eel?
I will be taking my first "40" this season......on wood.....and it will be on my "Prey" swimmer!
On Cutty......in June...........from a rock............in my wet suit!
You?

Pretty much same as most years July, boat, tube & worm, CC Bay, although I would much rather have it on a plug of my own, in the canal, daybreak, in August.

Some tall guy fishing rubber but too dark to tell. Funny thing this year as I usually don't frequent that spot very often but this year I started out there pretty much every morning I was there.

I don't have a tide chart for October yet, so how would I know when?
I think on a plug, at a place that flows out, at one side or the other of slack.

Every year is different, to predict or make a prediction is foolhardy at best.

Why even try.........

Not sure about my own success, but I feel as though a new striped bass world record is eminent. A large number of anglers are in hot pursuit, fish were heavy last year with regard to length/weight, and there was a class of super large fish present last year during July/August from B.I. to Montauk. It all depends on where these fish show of course, but I feel the elements needed to produce such a fish are in place. I do pity the person who catches it though.

It's not the bait

Good chance that it'll come on a 9" red/black Sluggo or 10" black RonZ on a 3-5 oz jighead
Slight possibility of it coming on a 3-1/2 oz yellow M&Ds pencil popper.

I'll take one any time I can get it! My best shot is probably going to be mid to late may - 9" Storm or Tsunami Shad.
