Daiwa Saltist, Saltiga Spin and Convench, Shimano Trevala, and much more

While we're known for plugs, lures, terminal tackle, fly fishing, and more we really want to increase our selection of products we don't have such a broad selection in. With that in mind we were due for a big increase in our rods and reels offerings this year so please take a look at what's new and available at the SWE.

Daiwa has always made great products but some of the new stuff they have rolled out offers really great value and performance. The Saltist series especially feels and performs like it should cost a lot more then it does.

New arrivals just in the past week are Daiwa Saltists, Saltist Levelwinds, the Saltiga Surf conventional, Saltiga Conventionals (including the lefty), Saltiga SA-Z Spin Reels, Emblem Pro and Emcast spinning reels, Black Gold Spin reels, and more.

Also check out the new Samurai Braid from Daiwa, both per yard from bulk spools in the store as well as 300 yard filler spools. If like me you just can't tolerate spending that much on Sufix be sure to check it out, it's shaping up to be a better product for less money. We also brought in Saltiga's boat braid. Look for more line including more hollow core products and the new braid from Momoi coming soon online and in the store.

Also the full run of Van Staal jigging rods is now in stock. We carried just a few in past, now we have the full line here in store and ready to ship. These have become very popular for not just jigging but casting at a variety of tough saltwater species.

Tsunami Airwave Surf Rods are another series that offer a lot of value. Their surf rods are light, powerful, and inexpensive.

Shimano Trevala (already in-stock) and Trevala F (on the way) Jigging rods are also now available at the SWE. While they're best known as jigging rods many of these new sticks are finding use for throwing plugs from both boat and kayak as well. Saragosa, Spheros, Stradic, and more are on hand to check out as well.

And of course we always try to have the biggest on hand inventory of Van Staal spinning reels anywhere; we aim to have ALL models in stock at all times. At the SWE generally you can walk in or order online and we will have the reel you want, when you want it. Unfortunately supply is often tight at Van Staal and occasionally reels do go out of stock, and if we are, be sure we are doing everything possible to get our hands on them.

Have something else you'd like us to carry? Just let us know and we'll try and bring it in.

Thanks,
