Thanks Guys ! Great way to start the season! I was plugging because of the large surf and wind, got a good hit on a needle, then switched to eels and got her 10 minutes later. No chef jacket when i caught it , heh.

I'm impressed. She is one slob of a fish. Under the prevailing conditions you must have had plenty of adrenaline pumping. Congratulations!

The shape of that fish is so strange. It sort of reminds me of a hybrid.

Way to go, Chef....

I don't want to know where you caught it - but I'd like to know where that bass got the 2 blackfish...

Geeezuz, what a glutton...also reminds me of a conversation me and Crazy Alberto had about bass and blackfish and the print he gave me...

Nicely done - persistence pays off

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Did you mean a straight pig?

Actually, I don't really care how its spelled. I like the new terminology...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Nice fish, Tyler. And good to see it won the week for you as well.
