Any Striper Action in the Ditch???

I make the trip to the Ditch in the spring and fall for many years. I'm from Western Ma. and keep up with what's happening by what you folks have to say ( and sometimes trying to read your codes, HA!, don't blame you anyway). Will be making the trip down on Tuesday. Just wondering if there is any action. Thanks

Welcome! Not trying to sound like a wise ass but Tuesday is 2 days away and nobody can predict what might be happening then! Could be on like Donkey Kong.....could be dead as a door nail! Thats fishing....go wet your line and enjoy the day, maybe you will be rewarded!

Read a few of the threads here and you might get an idea what has been going on there for the past week!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

There have been a lot of very nice fish near the eastern canal entrance. There has been plenty of bait in CCB
Given the large tides and NE blow much is possible.
Welcome and good luck, I hope you catch it right.

Saw a SUV with rods and a canal bike coming out of East St in Mansfield about 220PM today. Who could that be?
Today? Fish? Catch any?

I think you'll get one last shot at a big fish this week. Even though "its over" I'm giving it my hail mary the next couple nights...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

After I get the housecleaning, laundry and food shopping out of the way today I'll be doing my wrong way Feldman impersonation all week there. Hope I run into Capt. Cupcake so he can show me where to go.

After 2 days of sleeping out of my car and catching one fish, I looked at the forecast for Sunday and just couldn't do it.

Power to you guys for man-ing up and heading down there.

RIJimmy isn't your typical boat guy. He probably would have fished all day if I didn't make him leave. And I'm usually the one that say's "one more cast" about 20 times.

LOL. I guess that is what happens when you get older. You get a little smarter and say screw that and tip your hat to the guys that go out in those conditions. Just done it too many times and don't find it fun anymore. Thumbs up to the sick and sore.

I was planning on staying through Sunday and would typically fish in those conditions, but adding the awful forecast with one fish over 2 days of hard fishing, I was done for a few days. Had better luck earlier in the week.

Hell, I should've stayed at the canal - would have avoided the bullets that rang out across the street that night.

Hey, I had already got the skunk off. And, I couldn't move my fingers enough to switch plugs at that point. I didn't have those sweet gloves that you were wearing.
