I was once jokingly told a ManLaw by a boss long ago that the only excuse not to call in sick if I was absolutely drunk or woke up next to a seriously less than cute woman.

It was difficult, with a bit of sorrow and shame, I didn't call as I was dual-qualified.

He was a little speechless that I applied his Manlaw on arrival the following day.

True Story

There was a Dude on my Ship.....A Sonar tech if I remember correctly.....Missed Ships movement. Big No-No in the Navy.

When he got in front of the Old Man at his Captain's Mast he was asked if he had anything to say about why he missed it. He told the Captain all he remembers was talking to some guy at a bar and having a few drinks....next thing he remembered was waking up on a park bench w/ a sore a$$ and a funny taste in his mouth.

Took awhile for the dude to live that one down......

So wakin up next to a Buffarillo doesn't seem like such a bad thing after all......
