Im not sure if i ever met steve or not through the years. He was one of the SB members that i remember when i first found the site. Thoughts and prayers to his family. You will be missed. Tight lines for eternity.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Steve was a magnet who brought all kinds of different pieces of the fishing community together. If we were to do a 'six degrees of separation' with Steve I would wager the vast majority of us would be no more than a step or two away from each other. After his wife and children he lived for fishing, but in particular for those others who were obsessed with the challenge of pursuit of striped bass, and the history thereof.

My deepest sympathies go out to his wife Deb and daughters, and for those who most deeply morn his loss I expect that you consider yourself to be fortunate to have known him well rather than those who knew him in just passing. His enthusiasm and passion will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, my friend.

All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.
