Is this on your boat or were you with someone elses? How far out do you have to go for these ? We normally troll for them or if around the Hoki boats throw a big hunk of Hoki just behind the trawl nets . Not had any luck with liveys on them . Albacore tuna are coming in now . We are going tomorrow , 5 knot variable southerlies , hot as hell at the moment , I hate it when its freezing one day and hot the next . I am after that elusive 30 lb snpper , my best is only 16 but I will get there ! Mate of mine hooked a 32 lb one off the beach in Napier , as well as a 25 and a 23 lb'er ! Hmmm !
