Once you bust that price point you might as well go for the best. I know of a few guys with a bunch of records under their belts that would still fish them if they had to pay for them.

But as we agreed on, why bother? Just get a decent reel and take care of it.

But the Mako is the ZB of flyreels.
And NOT made in China.
