The 100 pound bass
This is the picture from the "other" site on the NJ forum. Stated that it was caught and released in MD.
I cannot say anything other than if the picture is real then it's the biggest bass I have ever seen in 43 years of chasing Stripers.

There are 84 or 85 posts on the thread the pic came from arguing as to whether there was some "photoshopping" afoot.

100 lbs
I don't know. Unless that's Iron Mike's little brother holding the fish I say it would go 130 lbs easy.

I know my way around photoshop... and I dont see signs of photoshop... (edges look clean, lighting is consistent, and the tail in the water along with the reflection looks pretty legit... I think this may just be a case of "no way... it just has to be fake... because its not me" syndrome. But look at the bright side... she's still out there swimming!

It 100% real... NO BS. Its not photoshoped except that I blurred the face because I personally don't know the person that caught the fish.
The person who sent me the picture is a very good friend. These guys fish and hunt year round and wouldn't even know how to pull something like a fake this good off. The person who took the picture is on vacation but we have a call into him to get some more info for you guys... What did he catch it on, what area, whats his shoe size and if he prefers blondes:squid:
I posted it because I thought you would appreciate a fish of this magnitude. I should have know it would have turned into this but what the hell its entertaining.
Life is too short guys... Just appreciate it!!!

Me as well. Agree that the edges are clean and it doesn't look like any noise has been applied to mask any smoothing. I would have scaled the image up to do the manipulation, added noise, then use some jpeg compression to hide the noise.
I'd also note that the fisherman has his knee into the belly and is leaning way back to balance himself. This is going to foreshorten his torso and head a lot making them look smaller and shorter relative to the head of the fish.
It looks like it's a real photo, perhaps a short fisherman and a lunker bass. But probably a lot smaller than it looks. Not sure it would be that easy to hold a live 80+ pound fish while standing on rocks in the water!

Guys, I got a PM from a respected SB board member. His friend took the picture and he stated to me that there were no re-touches, photoshop, manipulation of the picture. It is the real deal.
I will respect the fact that this was a PM and not mention the sender's name.

Apparently the guy who caught the fish had a 68# last year and witnesses said that this fish was WAY bigger. They didn't have a scale to weigh it and he released it alive.
