No you got to put a top hat on it over the line. You want the water to shed evenly around the face of it if you want to drag it without it rolling and swimming. Terry Nugent and I were talking about this the other night. He's got one that swims like I little danny plug when you cast it and retrieve. Friggin thing wiggles

Take a circle of .020 plastic drill a very small hole in the middle then slice to the hole from the edge. Twist it together to form a cone then staple it in that position over the line. Water will shed evenly around all sides and it will stay straight.

Try a little weight to stabilize the camera,, my best guess would be bottom forward to make it dynamically stable. If you can find the exact point where the lateral and longitudinal axises cross then add the weight slightly forward of that...
