Spot burning post for Narr Bay
Tons of fish this morning. Unfortunately nothing under 25" nor over 29". All the little kids you wanted. Too small even to take a Bunker.
All they did was play with their food! Had to switch over to a small swimmer but fun.
Very wet ride back into 4' seas NW 25knts. 6 footers around Warwick Light. I was sking down the backside of some of the rollers.

Funny. My wife and I were just talking about the fact that I have not swung a club since the fish showed up. I told here I'll be back on the links when the Bass settle in for the Summer.

Almost 7 hours on the Bay today. Noticable lack of bunker in any great numbers. Ran about a total of 50 miles and finally found decent but not until the tide was half up and pulling. 2, 24-25#, 3 high teens. Still cold SSE at 10 but water temp is back down to 52 in the mid-Bay

Went out with my bro-in-law Sunday, Paul for his birthday charter, a little earlier this year than the past
Pogies were pretty scattered in the East Bay, saw Jimmy White and Billy Silvia scouting around too - our sizes were about the same as you got
The only real shot at glory was a breaking school of bigger bass - it looked like we were on the road to greatness until some momo in a Sea Ray ran right into the school WOT and scattered them...
Man, I'm telling ya, the people you run into when you don't have a gun...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Was out yesterday in the river and came back empty handed.Very scattered bait.I saw one boat pull one smaller bass over the rail and they were working damn hard for that one fish.I was trolling TnW.I couldn't find any pogey's to snag within safe kayak distance. Was in for 3-4 hours and out before the rain came.Nothing....
