Its a 30 year old sears trike, that my dads owned since brand new, its been sitting outside for the last 15 plus years. A little wd 40 and some sanding and most of it worked.

bike was rusty and most the paint had peeled away, so sanded it down and sprayed it with 4 coats of rustuleom rusty metal primer, left it that way, instead of painting it, save that for the winter.

all the bearings worked, cleaned them and repack them.

Replaced the back rims and tires, i got these from a junky no name mountain bike.

replaced the chains, brake pads, front tire and tube.

picked up a fat guy comfy seat.

needed new handlebars, which was the toughest item to track down, found them at a local bike place for $20

got some pvc tube and drain end caps, for free, installed some cheap rod holders i picked up a risaa, cut the basket and zip tied them in place.

VS double row bag, thanks to thumper, is now my offical canal bag, holds a ton of plugs and even more bucktails and all the other stuff, pliers, leaders, bug spray, etc.

grabbed a couple bungee cords with the carbiner clips at job lot.

Total cost was around $60 for all the parts and equipment.

ill be the tattooed fat bald guy in a wetsuit riding the bike

nice bike man.

Dude your swimming the canal? Dont really fish there but seems a gnarly place to be wetsuiting.
