I met a lot of good people through guiding. The newbies are usually a lot better adjusted and add more value to your life than the sharpies. Striper fishermen who have been stalking the night for decades are most often quite mad.

n e 1 fishing from the shore in R.I. n e where, I would love to get together and make some casts. I've spent the winter collecting info and gear and hope to lose the self imposed wal-mart fisher status. I am confident that my prep will pay off, and seeing it live is alot different than reading or listening, I'm a hands on guy. AND I WANT TO CATCH FISH

OK open invitation for this Thursday, 22nd: cod trip leaving out of Plymouth likely 6AM. Any strangers or friends who have flexible work schedule?
Looking for 2-3 guys ready to pull up some cod...PM me.

I would love to fish the outer cape....I have always wanted to go out on the sand, but I am a little nervous, having never done it before....just seeing how you guys go about driving, what you do to your tires, how you park out there...that would be great...I'll buy the fuel and coffee.....if your in the Wareham area....sometime around late May, I might even be able to put you on a couple of fish in return.....
by the way...maybe 1 of the best threads I have seen on this site. Nice Work

Take a stranger fishing
Thanks Striped-Bass,
I had an awesome trip with PRBuzz today. Phil took advantage of “Take a stranger fishing”, he sent me a PM and I excepted the offer. Limited on cod and caught some pollock also. We saw dolphins, whales and a little bird that revisited the boat. It's all about the experience. If there is anyone thinking about fishing with PRBuzz, I would take the offer!
Thanks,
Mike

I've had a good start to the year so far fishing with new "friends" and some old: Niko, Fish4striper, Bill and Marty (not S-B.com members but I heard one is lurking), O.D.Mike, Freebie, Derek1 (aka lostncentralma), JohnnyD, and thepoint. Most have been on my boat but others have been part of the trip.
Can't persuade slipnot to go out (land lover he is) but he has sampled the catch (twice).
Stay tuned for future trip offers......

Canal
if any ones interested id love to get some pointers for the canal.
i know most of it is coveted info, im not looking for pole #s or super duper hot spots, just some basic stuff, tides, current flow, tips on bucktailling. im not a huge bucktail guy, but starting to throw them more.
ive been 3 times this year and caught only the last time, but caught some sweet fish.
PM me if you want. really any info would help, ive already read the canal how to numerous times and picked up alot of great info there.

Anyone want to go for a boat ride Thursday? I'm trying hard to hold my calendar open for a day leaving out of Plymouth.
Got 1, looking for 1 more.

Your Welcome Kevin...good consversation and we even caught a few fish...BTW.. I finished out the tide... you didnt miss much..
Here's a pic of one the "boat newbies" fish... note the deep gashes on the back... not uncommon for flats fish that get run over by unsuspecting boaters traveling at high speeds..

You look like the type of guy who would love a 23' Key West cc with a 225 Yami 4 stroke in great shape and set up for fishing.
