Cape Cod Tuna Club

I've got a big pile of binders with photo's etc. from the Cape Cod Tuna Club. Does anyone remember the Tournaments they had out of Provincetown? I will post the photo's if anyone is interested. I am also open to suggestions on what I should do with them, I can't bring myself to dispose of them because of the memories and I really like looking over the photo's going back to the 70's I think. What I have is all that exist , it's most if not all the papers and photo's accumulated during the clubs existence.
I will post some photo's next week for anyone interested, who knows you might know someone in the photo's.

I should have mentioned this to you but I forgot about having it, I go take a picture of the pile and show you my favorite photo, I can't tell if it's one my grandfather took or where it came from because it's stuck in the album. I'll be right back

Looking at the date 1978 and this being the 31st Tourney it must go back further than I thought...1947?????
I have to take off to Darts and will try and post more later (busy couple of days ahead so it might not be till next week)

My old man and a few of his buddies are very interested. They fished that in the late 70s.

What was the name of the boat they fished from, I'll see about scanning their photo's first (if I have them).

I'd love to see these too. My father and grandfather traveled up to fish it a few times - boat was the "Don-BoJo" out of Pt Jude.

Ed - we should figure out how to get digital copies of this together so it can be preserved for historical sake - just thinking outloud.

Just got my computer back yesterday (power outage caused the power supply to die, even with a surge protector) and will see about getting the scanner hooked up tonight or tomorrow.

The scanner works but I can't fit the album pages in/on the scanner and will start with some of the loose photo's and papers.

I am still getting used to the new scanner and don't know how I managed to scan in 2 different ways??????
When I hit scan on the scanner it scans then ...well I'm not sure, it goes somewhere....how I found the first one I don't remember and did the next 2 through my digital image software...hmmm I hope to figure what works best soon.

I have a problem...I can't get the photo's out of the albums and don't want to damage them and the pages are too large for my scanner. Any suggestions how I might get the pictures out of the albums?
