The new storm of the century.

Looks like a good one is coming. Last weeks Nor'easter gave us approximately 1 snow flake up here. Lets see what this one brings.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Its going pretty strong here on the western south shore of Long Island. Already a good coating of white stuff on the ground and its been going for about an hour. I don't think the heavy snow is supposed to get here until later today though.

The jeep is gassed up and parked in the lot, the beers are in the fridge with lots of leftovers and the giants are on at 4:15!

I don't know. I'm hearing good and bad. I'm right on the edge here, just north of the Canal in Bournedale. Flurries coming down right now. This seems like a case where 1-2 degrees, one way or the other, can make the difference between a blizzard and a drenching.

Going oystering anyway this afternoon, snow or no snow--today is the last day of the season.

The non-resident license in Falmouth is only $50, and their oyster season starts in October.

Here in Bourne, our non-resident license runs $175 and the season is only open on the Sundays of November and December. You always lose one or two days to bad tides, too. And this year we had one fewer Sunday to start with, than we usually do. Normally there are 9 in the period--this year, only 8.

It was coming down pretty hard in Providence when I was there 1 1/2 hours ago. Slick as hell. Nothing here in Clinton.

Here in Dedham it's been windy all day, but the snowflakes have been small and dry - easy shoveling so far.

Just snowblowed the 1st 9" of heavy wet stuff, sleeting now.
