I just have a few minutes. Thanks BigBo for posting this, and to all of you for some thoughts and prayers. I spent all afternoon and much of the evening at Miriam Hospital in Providence yesterday.

My mom is 91 years old--her birthday was just last Saturday, and we spent the day together with them. No matter what the outcome is, I have that good memory of her.

She suffered a hemmorhagic stroke. As of last night, there was still some bleeding going on in her brain. The area of the brain that it's located in is inoperable. They have to try to stop the bleeding with medication. Her blood pressure stayed in the target range for them once they got her into the ICU. However, overnight, there was a complication, some bleeding that's obstructing her airway. They inserted a trachial tube and may have to perform surgery. I have to leave soon to be updated and consider the options they present.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
