My fish pond is also a gathering area for the birds.I keep it running all winter by using a deicer.They always have a source of water.

My pond is frozen over. I put out a plastic trashcan lid filled with fresh water daily. Today I put a small circular pump to keep from freezing at least for 3-4hrs..... |

I have a heater in my bird bath. I go through one every 5-7 years.

Farm Innovators products are top notch.I use their low wattage deicer as my pond(s) is not overly large.They have several bird bath models also.
Farm Innovators
Agway sells a lot of pond/bird stuff but they're kinda pricey.I tend to buy my more expensive items like pumps/heaters online to save a few bucks.
