Thumbs up

I made it to Life Scout. I've never met an Eagle Scout who wasn't a first class man. My heartiest congratulations to you both. This is an accomplishment that will follow your son through his entire life.

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Another Eagle Scout here in 1968 or 1969 (can't remember. I'd have to dig out some of my documents). If he wants to continue, a real challenge is to join and complete the Oder of the Arrow. That's what my sash with the Arrow represents.

Kinda wish I still had my metal eagle badge. Only got the patch. Pinned my metal badge on my Granpappy when we buried him as he had been a long time scoutmaster in walpole, even though he had never earned his. He was on planet Zork with Alzeihmers disease when i got mine so he never got to be proud of me for it.

....And he should take the Ooder of the Arrow to another level and get the arrow head in the middle to signify "Brotherhood".......Always went as high as I could in everything............
