With regard to the "branding" I went up to the comcast office here to swap out a couple of remotes and while I was there I asked about my plan (tv/3phonelines/internet) to see if what I had was current and makes sense and asked about getting xfinity for some of the dvr features. She said it is not available on the island yet, that it requires an upgrade to some systems here and and that will not take place until mid-late April. I asked her what it means in terms of added features, and one of the added features she said will be "much higher Internet speeds", among other interactive features and a total redesign of on-demand stuff. I asked when...late April.
According to her it is more than re-branding but if you ask me it looks an incremental upgrade and they are re-packaging it under a new name.
