6. Attach a length of rope to the lid and tie a knot, run the other end on the inside of the tube and out the side, tie another knot. This will keep you lid from getting lost in the surf.

7. With some waterproof epoxy or other waterproof sealer, install the bottom end cap, keeping it away from the holes.

8. Apply some to both ends of the rope on the lid, you may need to do one at a time and allow to try.

9. For the belt loop I used a piece of old nylon webbing. I ran some waterproof duct tape around the bottom, placed the belt and added some epoxy, then wrapped the bottom loop with a few pieces of tape making sure to overlap.

10. Make sure to leave enough room in the belt loop to actually get your belt thru it while doing the top piece. Repeat the same steps for securing the bottom piece. Let dry and your good to go.

The lid fits very snuggly, it might loosen over time.

Its not the best looking plug tube but should work for what I need. I like the fact its the same size as my other tubes in my bags.
