They get a bad rap because they have some really cheap models, but they also make some that are well made and a good value. Some guys think if a reel isn't expensive it must suck. I used a Salina on the boat for 2 years and all I ever did was give it a quick fresh water rinse after each use. Then I took used it for a year in the surf and it was dunked a bunch of times and had no problems. I put it away one fall and forgot to rinse or lube it. When I grabbed it the next spring and brought it back on the boat, the handle was seized up. I busted the handle when I tried to loosen it up and threw it away. I definitely got my money's worth with it and would buy another one if I needed another reel. The new Okuma that was in OTW this month looks pretty interesting, too.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio
