Apparently Wild Cat was the place to be for cod, pollock & tuna. Too bad my crew wasn't interested in the trip there after we left middle bank, decided to head south & east.

It would have been a nice day for a ride out to WC, I went farther out than ever before in my boat and ended up only about 8 miles SW of WC. Did not find/see anything but did jig up one barely legal haddock, then headed back in going south & west to meet up with you. There was no current or drift and we were hitting bottom with jigs only 5-6oz in 350 ft of water.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Ran over the NWC...saw a few fish on the way jump but they were skittish so we left them. Went 6 miles east of LL to where we boated a fish a few weeks earlier...Nothin.
Trolled behind a fleet of tuna boats on anchor chummin for giants for about an hour and a half...Nothin
Back to the NWC and then the dump..Nothin
Decided to run the buoys 3-5 miles off shore. Found the fish 3 miles off Thatchers. Gannets everwhere but could not get the fish to bite.
One antsy dude/buddy whinned until we moved on. Two hours later: friend of right hand man on boat with us hooks and lands 134" fish after 3 hour fight within eye sight of where we were.
All and all it was a great day and good to talk to some of you guys on the radio.

Gorgeous day on the water. We were west of the BB, had one swing and a miss on a bally 20 mins into the troll.
Stayed there, went to figs, then inside to Nauset, Chatham, Crab, no fish sighted. Lots of porpoise, pilot whales. Got a few cod, sure beats work!

Yup...
The world-record fish was taken off Nova Scotia in 1979, measuring 13' long and weighing 1,496 pounds.
That would be 132"... Haven't heard anything on this fish today. Where did they land with the fish? Any pics? Not pinning this on you, but maybe need to pull out the BS flag on your right hand man's friend...

Yup, you guys are right on the money.
I checked with my buddy and the skipper or his wife fat fingered the text. I guess it was more like 113" +/- and dressed out at 702#.
They were in over 500 feet of water, so probably around the Ups and Downs. Pic will hopefully attach
