Saltheart Registered User iTrader: (1) Join Date: May 2000 Location: Cumberland,RI Posts: 8,555	I thought i posted a reply to this but i guess not. the idea of reversing the gathering guide is not new. tournament casting rods often have the first guide put on "backwards" to eliminate the two v grooves where the feet join the ring where line can get stuck.
