Yes they are plastic and if smashed on a rock will be fine. I for one and I am far from the only one think that the Black Mambo Minnow is one of the ABSOLUTE best night plugs on the market today. the hooks are the standard trebles found everywhere thes days and we who upgrade our hooks to 4x will do so
