Spoke in length on the phone just now with MikeCC, he gave me some great info.
The reason i was told by the officer giving me the application was, they Expect you to carry it for all lawful purposes, they don't expect you to put down gonna rob a bank. It seemed silly at the time, but what do i know.
I had one years ago, from the same town, what a process. I was waiting on it forever, spoke to a friend about it, he knew the state rep, Michael Rodriques, Mike made a call to the station on my behalf, and i had the chief of police himself call to apologize and tell me my license was all set and ready to go that day..
New chief now and i know him personally. He's my age, i went to school with him, a really good guy, and i also know 5 officers personally, friends i grew up with, played hockey with, and went to school with. They say it shouldn't be an issue, the only hang up i have is the reason. I worry about everything, i'm sure the reason i end up going with (above) will be fine. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all your help fellas.

I believe in MA there are misdemeanors that disqualify you from a LTC as well. I wish MA was a shall issue state, the BS gun laws here are ridiculous, the most ridiculous is the need for an FID. |

I'm very happy with may issue. It keeps the s**tbirds and dirtbags that don't contribute to the community from having an LTC.

Got mine a few weeks ago and it took 8-9 weeks I believe. Class A restrictions :none.
