Maybe you could train one to get sucked into the basses stomach with and epirb, hang out for the next decade or so giving her feeding adice the entire time. And then, when she's reached the plump old weight of around 100 lbs. and is about to die, engage the epirb. It will require that you stay in touch with the coasties so when the eel sends her yer way and engages the signal they will know it is YOUR fish.
Would kind of guarantee that slob we all dream about. A few odd bugs to work out.
