I see them on e-bay once in a while.
Also....you can check a guy named Len Codella.He has a classic tackle website that has some of the older Medalists from time to time.The site also has some neat upgrade parts for those reels.Years ago I purchased a P-Foot for my 1498 that replaced the original reel foot so it would fit the new rods.I still use my 1498 after almost 30 yrs in the salt.The inner workings of the click-pawl drag are ruined but it still does the job.I'd love to get my hands on another one.Good Luck in your search.If you ever find one and you don't want it could you let me know.
