Billy... I have envirotex lite that I usually use when I repaint plugs. I'm going to try your tip from the csa suds newsletter prior to application.

I have used some ultra-shiny/bright copper spray paint in the past on red fins, but the copper oxidized and got very dull overtime. I m going to test spray some old plugs with different brands, and leave out in the sun for a week or so and see what happens. Funny thing is I was digging through old issues of the fisherman tonight (2008?) and I found an article about DZ mentioning the 9" gag's copper needle and how well he did with it (but still got smoked by Stetzko). I havent figured out what conditions/factors are best yet for using copper, but it is a confidence color for me either way, so i guess that's what matters most.
