I nominate biteme, took a newbie under his wing, helped and still helps people learning to build plugs. Takes others out fishing both by boat and by shore. All the while putting up with Mr.striper. I mean that has to be worth something right there

Rockfish9.

This fella is giving of his time to plugbuilders on multiple sites, but especially here, and to Plugfest.
There is not an off season for him. Contributes to the ice fishing forum and spoke to the PISC meeting on ice fishing tactics.
He produces year after year. Has numerous fifties to his credit. Does C&R these days. Never hesitant to share advice when asked, and he is the first one I solicit because he has the experience, time on the water, and has thought it through.
This year, last year, or next year. Doesn't matter. It is kind of an ongoing thing with Joe!

rockfish 9, always helpful, builds great plugs, and for me the biggest part is catch and release, he had a great year from the pics he posted and was nice to see a lot of big girls released.

good luck to evertone who gets nominated

Well stated. The time and money Rockfish9 has unselfishly donated to promote the sport of fishing and the art of plug building is definitely worthy of recognition. Several times this year he has forfeit fishing (no matter how good it was) in order to accept speaking/seminar invitations from our various groups and clubs. Many years ago you changed the way I targeted striped bass, and it has been paying off in spades for almost as long.

Thank You Joe for being such a great ambassador to our sport!

I'll say should get an award just for admitting knowing Ernie.

I'll second it.
