I plan to fish less and enjoy the time I spend on the water more!
When I fish, my target species will be what is around right then. I am no longer wasting a lot of energy, running all over, catching bait, spending an insane amount of time looking for fish that are not there in any number. If I get a first hand report that they are out there ...I know the where and when, but those days of pissing away hour after hour are gone. At my age I only have so many hours left so I want to use them wisely and enjoy each one.
As far as beach fishing...Will cherry pick the "peak" runs and avoid the rest of the season. Becoming less interested in the beach night after night.
