Celtics Atlantic Division Champs
They captured the division title last night. Looks like they will be 4th seed in the eastern playoffs. I think that means Atlanta in the first round and that's great!.
Funny season. They beat Miami , cannot seem to beat the Knicks? Some really good teams at the top but in the playoffs anything can happen.
I think they will have a respectable playoff showing and likely go down in the second round. maybe we get lucky though!
Go Celtics!

I agree that it really is wide open. If they can get a few lucky bounces and end a series early and keep fresh legs, I don't see them going 7 vs Miami or Chicago and winning. Injuries obviously play a big part too and the pounding of the playoffs might not be what the doctor ordered for Derek Rose.

What happened last night
??????? Where were the Celts?
Rondo will likely be suspended for 1 or 2 games.
He was pessed though !!!!!!
But it was still a stupid move. Completely intentional too.

Worst game I ever saw the Celtics play...ever! Man did they stink!
Rondo pulled the dumbest move I ever saw a Celtics starter do. He can't be that stupid. Now I hate that particular ref with a passion and he has is always , ALWAYS , ALWAYS screwing the Celtics but Rondo is no rookie. Absolutely stupidest thing he could have done.
I think if Garnet or Pierce show up next game we can win without Rondo but if they stand around outside and toss up bricks like the game last night then it will be a short playoffs for us!
Go Celtics

Great game by Pierce last night. No other way to describe it. Great game with lots of points , rebounds and outstanding D. If he continues to play like that (he played great last half of regular season) , maybe we go places this year. I see two wins in Boston.

If they can get supporting help like that they'll give it a good run. Put Rondo and Allen back in the mix and watch out!!

Did not look good again last night! Yeah they won in OT but they stunk for the last 5 minutes of regulation and overall they looked poor all night.
Ray Allen did really well for his first game in a month!! Lets hope all that time on the floor was not too much for his first rehab appearance.
They will beat Atlanta but if they don't get things working better , they are done at the next level. What is with the standing around outside just wasting the shot clock? Move the ball around , look for open cutters , drive the basket trying to force fouls. This is fundamental basketball.

I beg to differ. Its nice to see a blow out now and then from this side. It sends a message to the Hawks too. And that message is.........................

Yeah , they (Hawks) threw in the towel in the second quarter. They'll never be champs with that attitude.
The trouble with a big blow out is I fall asleep somewhere between the 25 and 30 point lead!

The Celts looked terrible in their win tonight. Pierce looks pretty banged up, we have no chance if he's not healthy. Bass looks intimidated by the Playoff spotlight. Doesn't look good moving forward...

Totally Agree. But a W is a W and at the Gahdin too.
So the good news is...... at least 4 more games...I'm glad Chicago is out. Apparently they are nuttin without Rose.
Go Celts

Round 2 with a big team out. Anything can happen now I guess. They can't give up easy baskets like they did in the Atlanta series though. Too many 3's and dunks uncontested. They certainly have the experience factor in their favor but do they have the legs to take this all the way? Still a long way to go. The Big 3 live to fight another series. Can they make history or just be a good team that won 1 championship.........................

One word...Pierce. If his knee continues to hamper him , we are cooked. he is the heart of the team. As he goes so does the team. I hope he gets to 100% soon. Phily is a team we can beat if we are at full strength.
last night Garnett stepped up. Its too bad he's hot and cold. when he's on he's a huge asset.
I know everyone is raving about Rondo's assists , etc but IMO his play has gotten hugely sloppy the last few games. He's showboating and its resulting in lots of turnovers. Yes the guy is good and a key player for the team but all this fancy swinging the ball at arms length , etc has to stop.
Poor ray. That guy hussles all the time but he was cold as ice yesterday. Oh well , he did hit a big one near the end.
I hope they come out smokin against Phily. If we win the first two at home we win the series. i do not want to see the game one let down.
GO CELTICS
