We have a few Bass Stand T-bars here in Newport that are in still decent shape. At one time Newport/Middletown had around a dozen stands or so. S-Bass.com member CraftyAngler had all sorts of historic photos of Bass Stands from various locations that he digitally remastered/restored.

Was there one on the east side of Beavertail at one time? Looks like there may have been.

I wouldn't want to be on that stand in rough weather! It does't look very sturdy.

all us surf guys are half nuts so i'm thinking quite a few of us would be on surf stand.i know i put myself in some spots i'm lucky to be here posting.
