If you launch out of Saquetucket Harbor you can head east and cut through Monomoy, go out the cut and about a mile out of the inlet you'll find fish. These fish have been there all summer, and are fairly easy to catch with sluggos on jigheads, but dont be afraid to try an eel out there to maybe get some of the bigger fish.
If you're going to fish Nauset, you can park in the main lot and fish the beach in either direction. Its a long walk north to Nauset Inlet which is the most productive of the two. About a mile south of the public beach is Pochet hole. Fish your way down and back with black eels or with a needlefish and teaser. Dropping tides have been good up until the first hour of the incoming, but fish when you can. Big sand eels have been prevalent. You might also want to try parking at Chatham Lighthouse and fishing inside Chatham inlet. This area is best fished during the last 3 hours of the drop. Eels are your best bet.
