Do it Fly Rod. The WSM is a breeze to use. If you do get it may I suggest you also buy Gary Wiviotts book Low & Slow. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with your new smoker.

look into the mhp line
a little north of 500.00........but.....

lifetime on all parts...

my parents have had one for 24 years....the WNK model

cost them 490.00 back then

just did a COMPLETE overhall on the grill last week

new burners, handles, ignition switch...didn't cost them a dime


no bells or whistles but I must say it blows my weber away.

Same here, very glad I did, book had an attitude you had to be open too, but made tons of sense and works great. Teaches you fire and temp control rather that some secret sauce.

Couldn't agree more. Great book though. He does teach you some basic methods and some tasty cooks.
