Thanks to Goose I have a lot of yard work to do, but I think I'll probably be watching the Sox tonight w/some Yankee fans and finding time to take the family away from their 'puters, cellphones, and indoor activities and get into some local freshwater fishin' (at damsite 130 fer any of you NJ guys).
Mikey, you be careful, I know first hand from a backside of rocksalt that Farmer Brown don't cater to knockin his bovines over (I didn't even know they had cows in Mass).

If I get to panic mode I will let you know. I have the gps coords of the mushroom and I know visually where it should be. What Pisses me off is I made the winter stake myslef and set it myself so it is my fault. I can't imagine how it broke free. Either the thinner chain broke or a new 2X4 snapped. There was ALOT of Ice but there was a brand new chain thru the stake that connected to the heavy mooring chain. I took it off cause I wanted to clean up the ball. ugh.
Its funny, I went down during the dead of winter with all the ice and saw it from my car..."looks good" went back after the thaw and its gone.

As far as fishing spots go...I know who you are, your boat and where you fish...we will hook up one day this season.

Hired a heating contractor to heat this old barn in Truro. Wish it was done cold here now. Watched the birds chase bait onthe back beach. Got the juices going good. Have to do a little wiring tomorrow and the usual yardwork. It's Spring and life is good!!

Thumbs up GOT IT!

After about 45 min of poking around and just about ready to call in someone I put the dingy where I knew the boat was (again). Stood up and looked into the water off the transom I noticed some tan wood about 3' down, I plunged my arm in up to my shoulder and grabbed and pulled up what is left of my stake still connected to the chain.....Everthing is an friggin adventure! Back in business.

That ice is strong stuff.

(water is still damn cold!)

Angry Damn, that bunk sucked!!!!!

Yep, slept with about 8 inches of my legs hangin' out of them bunks, got about one minute of sleep every ten minutes all night long, tossin' and turnin'. Don't know how guys (like my Dad) did it serving in the Navy? Cool walking (stooped over) through the bowels of those old war horses! The submarine was by far the best! If ya got kids and ya ain't been to Battleship Cove....make the trip it is worth it! (Just don't sleep over)

Almost time to get our fish on!!!
