i seem to remember hearing something about Stafford pond being closed a week or two after 9/11. guess the authorities were afraid someone might poison the water supply. next time i see my trout junkie friends i'll find out for certain.

A SW license?? Hell NO!!

Man I can take that 20 bucks and buy a couple of plugs I won't use with it. But it'll give my bag a little more heft.

Or maybe I can match it up with 15 or 20 like $20 bills and buy a new rod that I don't need or maybe a reel that I don't need either.

Or maybe I can use it along with 20 or 30 similar bills to buy a lathe, and wire and paints and stuff to make my own plugs to save money. I think if I have it figred right the break even point is around 350 plugs. Thats if your time is worth anything ... maybe not.

And hell if the stripers get mismanaged and all but disappear again ... who cares! I will look cool with all my shiny new gear on my truck driving down that barren beach.

Besides its more fun to complain about fisheries management than to try to do anything constructive about it.
