i was able to get out in the harbor today and was very lucky. mooring line gone with one backup still attached barely, a friend had gone out and put another line on for me. the ball is trashed, the chain pulled through it. i wonder when the next batch of wind is coming.

on another note i had a gent ask me if he could charter my boat because the ferry was not running...guy seemed to be getting a little stir crazy out here and not being able to leave. i suggested finding a spot and at least fishing as it is real good right now (he had on Simms g3's). he then told me he doesn't fish so i asked, "why the waders?" he told me he knew it was going to rain and wasn't sure how high the water would get out here so he picked them up in case the ferry parking lot was flooded....

just figured i'd share that humorous little tidbit
