Talked with Penn today and the confirmed the 704 / 706 rumors.
They do not know what to call the reel yet. They are still working on the seals & instant anti-reverse.
They claim the reel " will be some what dunkable" they would not say sealed..

Would not give a price range. Looks to be about July before we hear any price and time frame on deliveries.

I felt as if I have had it with Penn but if they take a simple 704/6 and put a better anti-reverse, I will be very happy.

The three reasons why I dont use my 704 is because of the lack of an IAR, crappy roller bearing and bail spring failures.

A 704 with IAR, roller bearing that actually rolls and a bail that does not fail will be used very often....I am thinking of buying one of the new 7500 reels but with this news I will wait.

I hope the sale puke wasnt just boasting to keep us interested...
